Welcome to the Ambasciatori Palace Rome

Italy’s capital truly lives up to it’s billing as the Eternal City. It’s two and a half thousand year history makes it a unique destination for tourists visiting it’s stunning ancient and medieval sites of interest.  This rich heritage is complimented by the Vatican City, the spiritual seat of the Catholic faith, with it’s awe inspiring St. Peter’s Cathedral and fascinating Vatican Museum.  There are few places in the world that offer such a variety of Christian and pagan remains, sites and artifacts.

Via Veneto, one of Rome’s most exclusive avenues, has grown up around what is now one of Rome’s most exclusive five star hotels, the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel Rome.  The hotel pays tribute to its aristocratic heritage, by maintaining standards fit to cater for princes and businessmen alike.

Originally constructed in 1903, it became known as the Ambassadors’ Palace due to its clientele of diplomats and important businessmen.  Designed by Carlo Busiri Vici, the building mimics the architectural features of the great country houses of the day, inspired by the rural nature of the area at the time. The luxuriant building was then to set the standard for all future constructions built in the vicinity over the years that followed.

In 1933, the interior undertook a complete transformation, and many of its original and particular elements were restored to their former beauty, allowing our guests to enjoy their stay in a luxuriant and historically rich setting. The hotel’s interior combines columns of Brazilian granite with the finest marble flooring, and it’s ceiling panels, capitals, cornices and arches exude classical beauty in an atmosphere befitting the exceptional surroundings this great city offers.  The Hotel’s rooms and suites are all decorated in an aristocratic manner, with period furnishings and luxury interior design.

Combining class and architectural beauty, Via Veneto was to see many other equally prestigious palazzi appear around it after its construction.  These impressive structures now host embassies, government offices, hotels, restaurants and bars making the location not only exclusive but also fun!
