The Ambasciatori Palace Rome was a fantastic romantic destination
for a surprise anniversary weekend break for my wife and
I. We were traveling out of season (December) so
the rates we got seemed very competitive, and as it was
a special occasion we booked a suite. The service
was excellent, as one would expect from a five star hotel. The
suite was fantastic, very spacious and very beautifully
decorated and furnished. We also had an excellent
meal in the in-house restaurant. The location made
it easy fro us to go out in the evenings and gave us excellent
access to the shopping hotspots on the city. The
classical feel of the hotel really compliments a stay in
such a classical city, and is an excellent choice for a luxury hotel in Rome city centre.

The Ambasciatori Hotel offered the best rates we could
find for a five star, and it was in an excellent position
so we booked it. It is based in an old building and
therefore suffers the maintenance problem these constructions
suffer, but our rooms were clean and the staff friendly. When
in Rome one tends to spend very little time in the actual
hotel between dining, drinks, shopping and touring so it
seemed a shame to spend too much of the budget on accommodation. The
restaurant was good, and the excellent location is one
of it’s prime selling points as not only is it a
short walk from many of the nearby sights, it offered excellent
access to public transport for things a little further
away. To sum up, The Ambasciatori offered an excellent
balance between cost and luxury for a luxury 5 Star Hotel Rome.

The Ambasciatori Palace offers the kind of old feel you
look for when touring Europe. It may not have the
levels of service and space or facilities we are used to
in the US, but it does provide a feeling of history and
culture which is what you come to Rome for! The street
is very pretty and has lots of restaurants (including a
Hard Rock if you miss home), and between shopping, the
guided tours the hotel organised for us and eating out
we didn’t spend all that much time in the room. It’s
in an excellent location and was definitely value for money
considering what the Hotels in the area were charging. It seemed to have a great variety of rooms, but I would advise the use of the luxury suites, they were stunning!
